Role Overview

At Dikus Transporters, fleet reliability is at the heart of our operations. As a Fleet Maintenance Technician, you will help ensure that our fleet of over 100 trucks remains roadworthy, efficient, and compliant with safety standards.

This role is ideal for experienced technicians passionate about preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and minimizing vehicle downtime.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine servicing and preventive maintenance on heavy commercial vehicles.
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic faults.
• Repair and replace worn or damaged vehicle components.
• Maintain detailed maintenance records and service schedules.
• Conduct vehicle inspections before returning trucks to operation.
• Support emergency roadside breakdown response when required.
• Collaborate with fleet managers to reduce maintenance costs and downtime.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Diploma or Certificate in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Experience maintaining heavy-duty trucks and tanker fleets.
• Knowledge of diesel engine diagnostics.
• Experience using modern diagnostic equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• Good record-keeping and reporting abilities.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
